This morning's grocery trip included Albertsons, Kroger, Brookshires, and Tom Thumb.
At Albertsons', the total was $64.55 for 30+ itmes and with coupns I ended up paying a wonderful $8.04--this was purchasing three packs of meat too!! I also got six bags of Grande tortilla chips, six packs of Wholly Goac, and six packs of Wholly Salsa for FREE!!!
Kroger's (my absolute favorite store) total was $60.79, then after givng my coupons I paid $9.68. For those who do not know, Kroger is a regular for doubling and tripling coupons (up to three of the same per transaction). The Kroger plus card is a wonderful thing to get if you do not have one. The card saves me at least $15.00 each week. Kroger's free items were 4 canister of Country Time Lemonade, rice, Kraft BBQ sauce, Wheat Thin Crackers, and 2 tubs of Cool Whip.
At Brookshires I made three different transactions (they double or triple one coupon per like item per transaction). One was $1.03, the second was for $2.09 and $3.70. Brookshires gives $0.05 per green bag credit to your grocery bill--how cool is that?!? I got a bag of Kraft cheese and a box of Lipton tea for FREE!!!
Tom Thumb is not one of my favorite stores, but SOMETIMES you can find a good deal there. Today I got 3 bags of the Quaker Guac Chips for FREE and a bag of Lay for $0.31!!
