Dear Customers,
2011 was another great year for Amazon Prime members. In addition to the two-day shipping that our members have come to rely on, we expanded our benefits to include digital videos and Kindle books.
Early this year we launched Prime Instant Videos, giving Prime members instant access to thousands of popular movies and TV shows. We have since more than doubled the size of the collection to nearly 13,000 titles from partners like CBS, NBC Universal, FOX, and ABC-Disney. We just added recent seasons of Glee and Sons of Anarchy, which join popular favorites like Lost, Arrested Development and a wide range of content for the whole family, including Sesame Street and Phineas and Ferb. Prime Instant Videos are available for instant streaming on the Kindle Fire, as well as PC,Mac, Roku, and hundreds of TVs and Blu-ray players.
In November we introduced our newest Prime benefit, the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, where Kindle owners can borrow and read thousands of books for free, with no due dates. The library has grown to over 50,000 titles and includes more than 100 current and former New York Times Bestsellers such as the Hunger Games trilogy, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and Moneyball. It also features Kindle Direct Publishing top-selling authors like J.A. Konrath, C.J. Lyons, and Julie Ortolon. We've also worked hard to make Kindle devices affordable, and they start at just $79 for Kindle and $199 for Kindle Fire.
In 2012 we’ll do even more with Amazon Prime, making one of the best values anywhere even better. If you haven’t tried Amazon Prime yet, sign up for a free one-month trial today and join the millions of people who are already members.
Happy New Year and thanks for being a customer,
