A few helpful hints using one of the cheapest products in the grocery store.
1. Homemade cleaning agent to clean toilets and tubs-sprinkle baking soda around the tub or toilet and start scrubing with a sponge.
2. Fight dandruff by using baking soda in place of your shampoo.
3. Kill weeds by sprinkling baking soda onto the cracks of your driveway or sidewalk--don't do this on your grass or flowerbed, it might kill the other plants or grass.
4. Cloged kitchen sink? Mix 1 cup of hot vinegar and 1 cup of baking soda and pour away...no need for a handyman.
5. Apply baking soda and water to bug bites, takes the sting/itch out.
6. Clean your toothbrushes with baking soda (and water--let them set over night), it beats replacing them every three months like you are told by the dentist--unless you get them for free with coupons!
7. And of course we all know to use a handful or two of baking soda on a grease fire to put it out.
